Meet in Trinity Lane Car Park, Beverley [w3w ///messy.eternally.closet], next to the train station. We will organise car shares to the walk start point at the Triton Inn, Brantingham [w3w ///committee.drip.mondays]. We have permission from the pub to park in their car park.
Please be prepared to offer other walkers a lift at the start or end of the walk. Dogs are welcome, but if you want to bring your dog, please arrange with someone in advance who is happy to have a dog in their car for the shuttling before/after the walk.
The walk starts off up Spout Hill, a long steep incline, with some lovely views over Brantingham and the River Humber. This is the toughest part of the route (and legs will still be fresh!).
Once we're up Spout Hill, the rest of the route is relatively flat, with only a few small inclines along the way. We'll head out of Brantingham towards Raywell along the Yorkshire Wolds Way (a mixture of muddy tracks and country roads) then join the High Hunsley circuit across the fields to the village of Skidby where we'll stop for lunch (around halfway). After lunch we will continue onwards to Beverley where views of Beverley Minster start to be seen in the distance. The route takes us through Risby and Bentley before crossing the A164 to Beverley Parks to our finishing point at Beverley Minster.
After the walk, there is the option of going for a drink at a nearby pub in Beverley.
Parking arrangements:
Parking is free all day and toilets are available in the train station.
