About us

We are a friendly and sociable walking group aimed at people in their 20s, 30s and the young at heart, welcoming walkers from across North and East Yorkshire. We aim to lead 2 or 3 walks per month (at weekends) with weekday evening walks during the summer, we also arrange social events throughout the year and several weekends away, our main trip being over Easter.

New walkers are welcome to join us for up to 3 walks before becoming a member, membership is through the Ramblers Association which costs £35 a year (see FAQ section). Benefits of membership include:

  • Hundreds of group led walks every week.
  • Full access to Ramblers Routes online library.
  • Four issues of Walk magazine a year.
  • Access to our extensive map library.
  • Discretionary 15% discount at Cotswold Outdoor.
  • And a range of other offers from Ramblers Association partners.

The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting, which takes place every November, and oversees the running the group. If you would like to get involved, have a chat to one of the committee members and find out what role you might be able to play.
