We leave the car park and pick up the River Washburn down to Lindley Wood Reservoir, passing the pretty Dobpark packhorse Bridge. From there we climb up through Lindley Wood, passing the Hunters Stones on our way to Little Alms Cliff.
We make our way back towards the start taking in the sweeping views over Swinsty Reservoir and the "golf balls". We finish by walking over Swinsty dam and following the edge of the reservoir back to the cars.
This walk can be quite muddy and uneven in places with a couple of stream crossings, so waterproof footwear (not wellies) and appropriate clothing (no jeans) is essential.
Parking arrangements:
Swinsty & Fewston Reservoir Car Park. Pay and display - £5 all day.
Please car share where possible as the car park can get busy. The best place to arrange a lift is on the Facebook event.
