Description:
An easy going evening walk taking in some of York's many green spaces.
We head out past the railway pond, then across Little Hob Moor to pass the Tyburn and make our way over to the river, which we follow to the edge of Bishopthorpe. We cross the bridge over the A64 and head back to the cars via Knavesmire Woods.
Public transport:
First buses 4 & 12, the 13 and Coastliner all drop at the Marriott Hotel a few minutes walk from the start.
Parking arrangements:
Cherry Lane car park, also unrestricted parking on the road outside the Holiday Inn.
