Description:
Note: This walk as moved from 20th Feb to 27th Feb due to high winds forecast. Walk does not require pre-booking.
Starting from near West Knapton we head East towards Scampston Hall & Gardens through some landscaped gardens before passing through the village and on to Rillington.
After crossing the A64 we head South to the outskirts of Thorpe Bassett before joining a track to Wintringham where we walk through the village before joining the Wolds Way path to Deep Dale Plantation. There is a very steep section in this wood which leads us to the Art installation overlooking Scampston Hall. After admiring the sculptures we head back down to cross the A64 at the West Knapton turning.
After walk refreshments at The Coach & Horses pub in Rillington.

The Yorkshire Coastliner bus stops nearby on the A64 at 10:29 from York. Please let the walk leader know if you will be arriving by bus in case of delays.
