Description:

This walk does not require pre-booking.

This is a scenic walk in a less explored area of the North York Moors National Park.

From the parking area we climb up on to Great Hograh Moor, enjoying views of the surrounding moorland as we walk round to the ruins of a coal mine at Armouth Wath. We then join the Cleveland Way briefly taking in the views over the three sisters, over towards Roseberry Topping and the sea. From there we head to Baysdale Abbey, site of a Cistercian nunnery, before following Baysdale Beck back to the car park.

Some sections of this walk can be a bit boggy.

This walk is suitable for dogs, however must be kept on a lead or under close control on open moorland.

Due to the time of year and the length of the walk, I'm starting this walk a little earlier than normal.

Parking arrangments:

Free to park at Hob Hole car park.

If you would to car share, create a post on the Facebook event, letting others know where you are travelling from.
