Description:

This walk does not require pre-booking. Aim to arrive with enough time to park and walk to the start point.

A classic route with stunning views, great stop offs and some railway history - we will start by leaving Whitby and heading out on to the disused railway line (Cinder Track) which we follow all the way to the quaint fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay. After a bit of exploration and a rest we will head back to Whitby via the coastal path, taking in Whitby Abbey as we arrive back into the town. Fish and chips at the end for anyone who wants to join me!

The walk has a fair amount of up and down - total ascent is around 500m hence grading it intermediate.

Parking arrangements:

There are various car parks in Whitby - the nearest to the start of the walk is Marina Back car park Langbourne Road, Whitby, YO21 1YN. £9.00 all day.

If you would to car share, create a post on the Facebook event, letting others know where you are travelling from.
