Description:
With Government restrictions easing, we have increased the maximum number of places available on this walk to 40 but we still require you to book in advance through Eventbrite.
A gentle 6.5 mile walk starting at the Ship Inn in Acaster Malbis. We start by walking along the river and through the village before heading out along open fields alongside the river Ouse. After a few miles we loop back towards Acaster Malbis via some fields with sheep, a disused airfield and some woodland. The Ship Inn has a beer garden so we can head there for a drink after the walk!
Please note that whilst dogs are welcome on this walk, they must be on a lead in the field where there are sheep.
Parking arrangements:
Parking has been kindly provided by the Holy Trinity church on Cowper Lane in Acaster Malbis - it is located on the same road as the pub, further out of the village. There is a car park opposite the church which will be unlocked from approximately 17.30-20.30 for our use.
Note - the village has two churches so please go to the correct one!
