A classic moorland walk with big skies and sweeping views.
We head out along the side of the reservoir towards the dam. We then climb up towards Green Lane picking up the Cleveland Way briefly, climbing up through Oak Dale to Square Corner.
We follow the road a little way before striking out over Osmotherley Moor to Swainby Shooting hut, from there we take the track over Whorlton Moor back to the cars.
Unfortunately this walk goes over access land where dogs are not permitted.
Due the length we'll probably not have a big lunch stop, but bring snacks as we will have snack stops.
