IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This walk is limited to 12 places (including the walk leader), these MUST be booked in advance through Eventbrite - see link at bottom of the walk description. Anyone who has not booked a place will not be allowed on this walk.

Festive themed loop walk from Hovingham, taking in woodland, fields and rolling hills. The route follows the Ebor Way out of the village then meanders through forest and over watercourses. Emerging from the trees we follow an undulating route across moors and hills, including parts of the Centenary Way.

As part of the festive spirit, the wearing of Christmas jumpers, hats, onesies or inventive placement of baubles or tinsel are all enthusiastically encouraged.

We will start and finish near the Rolling Pin bakery which offers hot drinks and mince pies. If you wish to bring your own flask or mulled alcoholic beverage there will of course be plenty of chances to indulge during and after the walk.

Some sections are muddy and slippery so waterproof boots or wellies are recommended. Due to passing close to outdoor pig and piglet pens the route is not suitable for dogs unless kept under close control.

Parking: Parking is available on Church St between Hovingham Hall and the bakery. There are also limited spaces in the village hall car park - payment is via an honesty box (£2).

Booking: The Government restrictions state you should avoid travelling outside your area if you live in Tier 3. We ask members from Tier 3 areas not to attend this walk in order to comply with these travel restrictions.
