IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There are a limited number of places on this walk, and these MUST be booked in advance - see link at bottom of the walk descripton. Anyone who has not booked a place will not be allowed on this walk.

At the start of this walk we will have a Covid-19 briefing along with the usual introductions and walk description, and everyone will be expected to follow social distancing guidance through out the walk. Also we ask you do not bring food items to share, sweets, cake etc as this could facilitate the spread of Covid-19. It is also advisable to bring hand sanitiser on the walk as there are no hand washing facilities on the route, and also bring a face covering.

A beautiful moorland walk with sweeping views in all directions.

We start the walk heading out of Chop Gate over Cold Moor to join the Cleveland Way, which takes us up onto the Wain Stones where we will be able to enjoy 360 views of the surrounding area.

We then head down Hasty Bank to cross over the road near Clay Bank then climb up onto Urra Moor. From here we then head skirt the edge of the Moor and back down into the Chop Gate.

This walk has a few steep ups and downs along the route, it can also be a little wet in places particularly after rain.

Dogs are welcome on this walk but must be kept on a lead.

Parking arrangements: Car park on the south side of Chop Gate. Honesty box in the car park so please bring a couple of pounds in change.
