IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There are a limited number of places on this walk, and these MUST be booked in advance - see link at bottom of the walk descripton. Anyone who has not booked a place will not be allowed on this walk.

At the start of this walk we will have a Covid-19 briefing along with the usual introductions and walk description, and everyone will be expected to follow social distancing guidance through out the walk. Also we ask you do not bring food items to share, sweets, cake etc as this could facilitate the spread of Covid-19. It is also advisable to bring hand sanitiser on the walk as there are no hand washing facilities on the route, and also bring a face covering.

Blow out those Lockdown cobwebs, on this lovely moorland walk.

The walk starts with a gentle climb up over Hutton Ridge onto Spaunton Moor, enjoying views over towards Spaunton Lodge. From there we head on to the top of Chimney Bank, which shares the title of steepest road in Britain with Hardknott Pass in the Lake District (don't worry we won't be walking up or down it!), from this vantage point we can take in the panoramic views over Rosedale.

Then we head on to Ana Cross - the tallest of the North York Moors crosses at a lofty 3 metres tall. We then have a steady descent down towards Lastingham taking in the views as we go, before heading back to Hutton-Le-Hole. This walk has a couple of stream crossings - they're not too deep, however waterproof footwear is advisable if you want to keep your socks dry.

This walk is dog friendly, however please be aware that dogs have to be kept on a lead  at all times when walking on the North York Moors.
