A scenic walk taking in farmland and forest. We head west out of Thornton Le Dale across farmland (likely to be muddy) taking in views across the vale of Pickering, before turning north into Howl Dale Wood. We go through the wood, gently climbing along a rough track, before heading back to farmland (more mud). We cross the road before heading into Dalby Forest. We head through the woods down into Dalby village (for lunch and a loo break) before taking the track through the woods south. We exit the woods onto pasture land and follow the stream past the fish farm and back into Thornton Le Dale.
Dogs are welcome on the walk but will have to be kept on a lead through Dalby Forest and in pasture land where sheep may be grazing
Meet in Main Car Park in Thornton Le Dale. Costs £4.50 for all day. On-street parking is extremely limited in the village so please use the car park.
