Description:
A stunning walk at Rosedale following the old mine railway which follows the edge of the valley. A steep climb to begin with soon rewards you with views running the length of the valley, plus the ruins of the old mines, workshops and various dwellings along the route, before the path leads you gently back down into the village of Rosedale Abbey. Most of the walk is pretty much flat.
There are small sections of woodland at the start and finish before going into open heath and moorland, and historical interest from the 19th and early 20th century mining infrastructure.
