Meeting Point: Nunnery Lane Car Park - Nunnery Lane, York YO23 1AA

Public Transport: York Station is a short walk from the start, frequent local and national services available here.
Most bus routes in York call at the bus stops near to the start, this includes the Coastliner and park and ride services (There maybe a short walk from some routes).

Parking: Nunnery Lane Car Park, it is £13 for over 5 hours so car sharing may make this more economical.
Car parking is also free plus £3.10 bus return from the park and ride sites to the city centre

Description: From Nunnery Lane we will head out to the Race Course via Scarcroft Allotments, then follow the Transpennine Trail so the "Sun", then make our way down some of the planets on the York and Selby Path until we get to Naburn Bridge (or Fisherman's Bridge as it known locally). Hopefully will have a lunch stop around there. From Naburn Bridge we will then start to head back to York City Centre via the riverside path, this will take us back via Bishopthorpe Palace and Millennium Bridge before arriving back into the City Centre.

Once back in the City Centre it is our plan to find somewhere suitable for a few drinks and an afternoon meal. Venue yet to be decided, will suggest some on the Facebook page and will update as soon as possible.

This walk is on flat tarmac paths and firm soil so would be an excellent choice for newcomers or beginners with limited walking experience or equipment.
