Weekend trips

17–19 September 2010: Buttermere

Kelly is organising a weekend trip to Buttermere. The plan will be to do walk Haystacks on the Saturday at a relaxed, leisurely pace where we should be rewarded with beautiful views of Buttermere and a tea shop at the end of the walk. There will also be a short walk for the Sunday.

As well as day walks throughout the year, we also go further afield on weekend trips several times a year. Usually we stay in hostels, but sometimes we camp instead. Places are usually limited, and we will send an email to everyone on our mailing list when we are organising a trip – if you are interested, please do get in touch with us quickly! You will need to be a member of the Ramblers Association to come on our weekend trips.

Our main trip away every year is over Easter, when we take advantage of the long weekend to go up to Scotland or somewhere else a long way away. For other weekends, we tend not to travel quite as far.
