Meet at the Coach Street car park in Skipton (grid ref SD988517, postcode BD23 1LE). This car park costs £4.50 for the day, other car parks are available. It is a few minutes' walk from the bus and railway stations.
If you're coming by train, please let Trevor know so that the group can wait for you if you're running late.
Starting by the canalside in Skipton we go through Skipton Woods, then after passing through Skipton golf course we have the short but steep-ish climb across access land up Sharp Haw (1171ft). At the summit there are (weather permitting) good views across Airedale and towards Malhamdale. Descending to the village of Flasby we return via Crag Woods overlooking the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
Parts of the walk may be boggy at this time of year. Please note that this is the first day of BST (and so the walk starts at 11:00am to allow people a little more time).
