Meet at 10.30, ready to start walking at 10.40.
We walk along the esplanade which offers great views of Scarborough south bay. We then follow the cliff top path past Knipe Point (possibly observing houses falling into the sea as featured on Look North news programme) towards the beautiful Cayton Bay. At Cayton Bay we tackle the steepest climb of the walk. At the end we reach the small and charming town of Filey. From Filey Brigg you can observe Scarborough in one direction and the chalk cliffs of Flamborough in the other. This walk is the least demanding of the coastal stretches of the Cleveland Way in terms of length and terrain. There are some moderate climbs at various stages along the route.
