This is a joint walk between GYBO and Take a Hike, the Leeds and Bradford young people's walking group. Although we've done a similar walk earlier this year, the spring colours should lend it a different feel from the deep snow we enjoyed last time!
We will be starting from Sutton Bank on the North York Moors. We will descend from the plateau past the White Horse and then proceed to the Thirsk—Scarborough road. After crossing this we will go to Gormire Lake and then take one of a number of paths back up to the plateau. From here the path is taken back to Sutton Bank car park.
After the walk some suitable liquid refreshment at the Hambleton Inn, just ¼mile down the road towards Helmsley.
There is plenty of parking available at the visitor centre, at a cost of £2.20.
