Join Huggate walk on Facebook

This is the walk we were hoping to do on 10 January, but had to postpone because of the snow!

We start from the Huggate/North Dalton road and follow the Minster Way across Huggate Heads, with (hopefully) good views of the Wolds landscape, before dipping down into Nettle Dale and joining the Chalkland Way for a couple of miles as it passes through Frendal Dale & Tun Dale. We then climb back up towards Wold House Farm and join the Yorkshire Wolds Way heading towards Huggate, but before reaching the village we scoot down into Cow Dale and onto Oxlands Dale, climbing back up again to Foxcovert Farm. Here we continue along footpaths for another 2 miles before arriving back at the cars. Afterwards we will head to the pub in Huggate for a well earned drink. When recce'd, although good, the paths were very muddy and we're not sure what the snow has done to them, so come prepared! There are various points at which we may cut the walk short, depending on daylight and weather.

Meet in the car park of the Wolds Inn in Huggate - the landlord has very kindly allowed us to use his car park
