Hovingham 10 Miles, moderate, Leader Jon D

This walk is centrally located giving easy access to all. It is a circular walk with good views of the gently rolling Howardian hills and goes through an area of forest and various footpaths and farm tracks. The lunch stop will be at the scenic village of Terrington. On return at Hovingham we find two pubs. Jon's preference however would be the spa tearooms which is one of the best tearooms in Yorkshire in Jon's opinion.

Meet 10:00am Hovingham village hall car park (free - signposted off main road going through village). View Map of Area

Barton On Humber, 10 Miles, Leader Simon H, A Tale of Two Suspension Bridges"

Meeting at Waters Edge Country Park visitor's centre in Barton-upon-Humber underneath the Humber Bridge, we walk along the estuary west to South Ferriby. Approx. 10 miles in length with a small climb of around 60m onto the Lincs. Wolds. Note, the Humber Bridge costs £2.70 per car in both directions - ring Simon on 07986 191240 if you're interested in car sharing. Meet 10:30am car park of the Waters Edge Country Park in Barton.
